A note of thanks to our wonderful corporate partners and supporters

July 01 2021

As we are now halfway through 2021, we thought it would be a good opportunity to highlight the wonderful support that our amazing corporate partners have shown us so far this year.

At Cerebral Palsy Cymru, our corporate partners are very special to us. We want our partners to feel part of our family and to see first-hand why their support matters so much. We would like to thank all our corporate friends from across numerous organisations for their ongoing support in raising funds, making in-kind donations, getting on board with our campaigns and spreading the word about who we are and what we do!

Build A Better Future

Earlier this year, in April, we launched our ‘Build a Better Future’ campaign, which is a year-long appeal to fund the second stage of the development of our new children’s centre. We are thrilled that many of the businesses that have supported us for several years have pledged to Build A Better Future by responding to our appeal. We would particularly like to thank three long-standing corporate supporters of Cerebral Palsy Cymru who have amazingly decided to sponsor a room within our new children’s centre. This will make a huge difference and our thanks go to Circle IT for sponsoring our Training Suite, Slater & Gordon Lawyers for sponsoring our Family Support Suite and Hugh James for sponsoring therapy room 3.

Thank you to all the incredible businesses who are going the extra mile in support of our appeal, we very much look forward to the day when we can send you an invitation to the official opening of our new children’s centre!

If you are feeling inspired to help us build a better future for children and families across Wales living with cerebral palsy and would like to find out more about how your business can get involved, please click here. We still have lots of sponsorship and fundraising opportunities available and we would love to hear from you if you can help in any way.

Cake & Tea for CP

During June, you have been baking your hearts out, up and down the country, in aid of Cake & Tea for CP! We have been thrilled (and a little hungry and envious!) to see all the pictures that you’ve been sharing of your gorgeous bakes and cakes. We were delighted to see our friends at The Royal Mint get behind the campaign by asking staff to show off their baking skills in a true ‘Bake Off’ competition style, as did Sony at their Pencoed facility. Our special thanks also go to St Joseph’s Hospital for not only holding numerous cake sales in their canteen throughout June, but for sponsoring our inaugural Cake & Tea for CP.

Mowgli Street Food Cardiff

We couldn’t be happier to see the re-opening of our favourite restaurant in the heart of Cardiff’s city centre and to see so many happy customers, not only enjoying the delicious Chat Bombs at Mowgli Street Food Cardiff but continuing to support us by donating £1 on every bill as a result of us being the Cardiff Restaurant’s house charity.  To date, the team have raised an incredible £17,444 from this initiative. Why not pop in and say hello to their friendly staff and enjoy their amazing food with colleagues – our fundraising team certainly enjoyed sampling almost every item on the menu when they visited in June!
