Slater and Gordon renew their Three-Year Principal Partnership with Cerebral Palsy Cymru
May 17 2026
Cerebral Palsy Cymru is proud to announce the renewal of its Principal Partnership with leading law firm Slater and Gordon for a further three years, strengthening a shared commitment to improving outcomes for children with cerebral palsy and their families across Wales.
Building on a strong and longstanding relationship, the renewed agreement will see Slater and Gordon continue to play a pivotal role in supporting some of the charity’s most impactful services, helping to ensure families can access the specialist care and support they need at the earliest possible stage.
Securing Early Intervention and Family Support
As part of the partnership, Slater and Gordon will continue to be exclusive sponsors of Cerebral Palsy Cymru’s flagship early intervention programme, Better Start, Better Future, which delivers specialist therapy for babies and young children during the earliest and most critical stages of development.
Early intervention is widely recognised as key to improving mobility, independence, and long-term outcomes for children with cerebral palsy. This continued support will enable Cerebral Palsy Cymru to reach more families and provide life-changing therapy when it can make the greatest difference.
Slater and Gordon will also continue its sponsorship of the Family Liaison Room at the charity’s children's centre, a dedicated, welcoming space where families can receive emotional support, practical advice, and guidance alongside their child’s clinical care.
In addition, Slater and Gordon will remain as Headline Sponsor of the Better Start Ball for the duration of the three-year agreement. This flagship fundraising event plays a vital role in generating income to sustain and grow the charity’s services while raising awareness of cerebral palsy across Wales.
The partnership also includes bursary support Cerebral Palsy Cymru’s Private Therapy Service, helping to remove financial barriers and increase access to personalised therapy programmes tailored to the individual needs of children, young people and adults living with cerebral palsy.
A Shared Commitment
Marie Wood, Interim CEO of Cerebral Palsy Cymru, said:
We are absolutely delighted to renew our Principal Partnership with Slater and Gordon. Their continued support is instrumental in helping us deliver early intervention services that can change the course of a child’s life.
Through this partnership, we are not only able to expand access to our Better Start, Better Future programme, but also provide vital support for families and improve access to therapy for those who need it most. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing commitment to our work and the families we support.
Kelly Lloyd-Davies, Principal Lawyer at Slater and Gordon, said:
We are proud to continue our partnership with Cerebral Palsy Cymru and to support the exceptional work they deliver for children and families across Wales.
Programmes like Better Start, Better Future demonstrate the life-changing impact of early intervention, and we’re honoured to play a part in helping more families access that support at such a crucial time.
Lara Bennett, Senior Associate at Slater and Gordon, added:
Our partnership with Cerebral Palsy Cymru is incredibly important to us. Supporting not only specialist therapy but also the Family Liaison Room reflects our shared values and commitment to making a real difference.
We’re also thrilled to continue as Headline Sponsor of the Better Start Ball and look forward to helping the charity raise vital funds over the next three years.
The renewed partnership marks an exciting next chapter for both organisations, combining expertise, compassion, and shared purpose to create brighter futures for children living with cerebral palsy.
