We celebrated another Successful Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month Supported by Irwin Mitchell

April 01 2026

Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month 2026 was another great success, with incredible support from Irwin Mitchell.

As Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month 2026 draws to a close, Cerebral Palsy Cymru extends its sincere gratitude to national law firm Irwin Mitchell for their continued support as our headline sponsor for the third consecutive year. Throughout March, this partnership has helped us to increase public understanding of cerebral palsy and provide vital resources to the families we support across Wales.

This year’s campaign was a resounding success, with numerous organisations, schools, and Ambassadors wearing green and fundraising to show their solidarity. In a powerful visual display of support, several of Wales’ most iconic landmarks, including the Principality Stadium, Roath Park Lighthouse, Cardiff Castle, the Guildhall, the National Library of Wales, and Brangwyn Hall, all lit up in green to highlight our campaign.

Contributing to the month's activities, Irwin Mitchell kindly ran a free prize draw at our centre, giving families the opportunity to win a brand-new Toniebox. Their commitment also extended to supporting the return of our popular ‘Cake & Tea for CP’ event at our children’s centre for the first time since 2024. Irwin Mitchell’s continued backing ensures that we can build on our annual awareness campaign each year, helping more people to learn about cerebral palsy and the vital work we do.

Our Head of Fundraising, Corporate Partnerships and Communication, Carwyn Williams, shared:

We are incredibly grateful to the team at Irwin Mitchell for their steadfast support over the last three years. Their commitment as our headline campaign sponsor has provided us with the security to plan, deliver and grow the impact of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month year on year.

Julie Lewis, Partner at Irwin Mitchell, shared:

We’re delighted to have supported Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month with Cerebral Palsy Cymru again for the third successive year. We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside an organisation that makes such a meaningful impact on families across Wales. Supporting Cerebral Palsy Cymru’s work and helping to raise awareness continues to be hugely important to us at Irwin Mitchell.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this month's events. Whist March has concluded, the impact of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, along with every pound donated, makes a huge difference to children and families living with cerebral palsy across Wales all year round.
