Meet the Royal Mint

We are delighted to have selected Cerebral Palsy Cymru as our chosen charity at The Royal Mint. Each year employees of the Mint have the opportunity to select a charity of their choice for the business to support and this year Cerebral Palsy Cymru was selected. Many of the employees at The Royal Mint have been touched by the work that they do and we are thrilled to be able to support such an incredible charity that gives so much to the community that surrounds us. We look forward to working alongside Cerebral Palsy Cymru and support them in continuing the fantastic work that they already do.” The Royal Mint

How we work with you

We are very happy to meet with you and get to know your business, its values and talk about how we can work together as your charity of the year. We will come and talk to your staff about the work that we do to make sure that the whole company is fully engaged. We can provide suggestions, ideas and resources to support your fundraising or alternatively provide opportunities for employee volunteering. You are welcome to join one of the many events we hold each year. We also invite you to visit our centre and see first-hand how your support makes a difference.

Benefits for your company

  • You will have the opportunity to work together as a team to make a difference
  • Your support will be acknowledged on our website, via social media and the press
  • You will feel a great sense of achievement knowing the impact that you’ve made
  • You will have fun!

Longer term partnerships

Many companies who choose us as their charity of the year continue the partnership once the year is over. This gives both organisations the opportunity to build a solid partnership and see the long term rewards of such a relationship.

Meet Slater and Gordon

Slater and Gordon is one of the largest consumer law firms in the UK with a National Centre of Excellence based in Cardiff. Since they sponsored our 25th Birthday Ball at Cardiff’s City Call in June 2017, they have become increasingly involved with, and supportive of, our work with children and families.

In March 2020, they became the Principal Sponsor of our vital Initial Consultation service which is the first part of our unique early intervention programme, Better Start, Better Future. This means that Slater and Gordon are supporting the babies who are referred to us, which for the past few years has been at least 40 babies per year, with a two hour Initial Consultation with one of our expert therapists and our Family Support Coordinator.

Rachel Morgan, our Head of Income Generation, says:

We are extremely grateful to Slater and Gordon for all of the support they have provided us in many ways over the past few years, but especially so for the significant sponsorship they are now providing which is helping to fund our Initial Consultation service. As a charity that relies on donations for the majority of its income, we thank Slater and Gordon for helping us to ensure that babies being born in Wales today and in the future will be able to come to us for support in these vital early stages.

Yvonne Agnew, Head of Clinical Negligence at the firm, says:

As a practitioner with many years’ experience gained by assisting families who have children with cerebral palsy I understand just how important guidance, support and most importantly early therapy can be and for that reason I am delighted that Slater and Gordon are able to support Cerebral Palsy Cymru in providing this vital service to families across Wales. We are truly   proud to be able to support this exceptional charity and its dedicated service providers who provide such a vital service in such an inspirational way.

Meet Mowgli Street food Cardiff

Mowgli Street Food is a national chain of welcoming, vibrant, family friendly, Indian cuisine restaurants created by Nisha Katona.

Back in the autumn of 2019 when the Cardiff branch first opened in the heart of the city centre, Mowgli Street Food contacted us to say that we were to be nominated as their in house charity, a concept that is at the heart of each of their restaurants. A discretionary £1 is added to each bill with the staff explaining to their customers exactly where their pound is going and the difference it will make.

Since adopting us as their house charity, the Cardiff branch have raised almost £50,000 for us!

We always look forward to visiting the team at their Cardiff restaurant and are proud to partner with them.

Would your business or company like to support us?

If you would like to chat about how we might work together now (virtually!) or in the future, please contact Claire Walker, Corporate Relationship and Fundraising Manager, on 02920 522600 or at clairew@cerebralpalsycymru.org

Noah's story

After our first therapy session, I left Cerebral Palsy Cymru’s children’s centre with something nobody had previously dared give me for my little boy. I left with hope.
