Online Parent Cafe

Led by Emma Johnston & Tash Elliott, these virtual sessions explore themes like resilience, support, relationships, and understanding our children, through honest, peer-led conversations.  These sessions create space to reflect, connect, and feel less alone on the journey.

Drop in whenever you can. Let’s build community, one chat at a time

Cerebral Palsy Cymru Parent Cafes:

Building on parental experiences of having a child with Cerebral Palsy, across Wales......One conversation at a time

At Cerebral Palsy Cymru we are committed to making safe and supportive communities for children with Cerebral Palsy and their families.

Let's make time to have the conversations we need and that matter to us. Conversations that may build resilience; help us understand our children and their behaviour better; that support us to navigate the situation we find ourselves in and the landscapes of inequality. Conversations that allow us space to think and reflect and that make us feel connected and less alone.

These sessions will be led by Emma Johnston and Tash Elliott, who are seeking to support parent carers across Wales whose child has Cerebral Palsy or is at high risk of developing Cerebral Palsy through peer to peer learning conversations. Conversations will be around themes of resilience, relationships, knowledge, support and communication and will cultivate ideas from own wisdom and experiences that aim to ultimately strengthen families. The hope is that you will leave our online Cafe inspired, energized and excited.

The sessions will be held via Teams.
