Early Intervention and Assessment Course 2024 - 25

Part 1 is delivered ONLINE, starting with one full day, followed by self-directed learning through pre-recorded lectures and online follow-up evening tutorials occurring over a ±5-month period, and is the equivalent of 3 full days education time.

Part 2 occurs on 3 full days IN-PERSON at Cerebral Palsy Cymru. The focus is on working with babies/infants and their families with guidance and support from the course tutors, Betty Hutchon and Christine Barber.

Early Intervention and Assessment for Infants and young children at high risk of neurodevelopmental problems – a practical and evidence-based approach.

Virtual Introductory Day:

Monday 7th October (full day) 9:00am -5:00pm

 

Tutorials – Virtual (attendance required):

Tuesday 8th October 2024 - Follow up Tutorial 1, 6:30pm-7.30pm

Tuesday 5th November 2024 - Tutorial 2, 6.30pm-7.30pm

Tuesday 26th November 2024 - Tutorial 3, 6.30pm-7.30pm

Tuesday 17th December 2024 - Tutorial 4, 6.30pm-7.30pm

Tuesday 7th January 2025 - Tutorial 5, 6.30pm-7.30pm

Tuesday 28th January 2025 - Tutorial 6, (Tentative), 6.30pm-7.30pm

 

Practical sessions 2025 (In-person attendance):

Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th February 2025, 9:00am to 5:00pm daily

 

Attendance of all sessions is mandatory.

It is suitable for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists working with high-risk infants in the NICU and in the community during the first year of life.

Cost: £1,275 per person
