Early Intervention and Assessment Course - Spring/Summer 2024

Part 1 will be delivered remotely starting in February 2024 and will be the equivalent of 3 days of education time.
Part 2 will consist of 3 days in June 2024 at Cerebral Palsy Cymru, Cardiff, Wales and will focus on translating acquired knowledge into practical skills working with babies/infants and their families with guidance and support from the course tutors.
The course is led by the highly experienced early intervention course tutors, Christine Barber and Betty Hutchon.
About this course
Early Intervention and Assessment for Infants and young children at high risk of neurodevelopmental problems – a practical and evidence-based approach.

Dates and times for this course
Monday 26th February 2024 – Full day online – work will be given that will need to be completed prior to the Live Tutorials.
Tuesday 27th February – 6:30pm - 7:30pm - a Live 1hr Tutorial via Zoom to discuss topics and ask questions arising from the course on 26 February 2024
Tuesday 19th March 2024, Tuesday 16th April 2024, Tuesday 7th May 2024 and Tuesday 4th June 2024 – 6.30pm to 7.30pm - a Live 1hr Tutorial via Zoom (not recorded) – compulsory attendance required
Monday 24th June, Tuesday 25th June and Wednesday 26th June 2024 – Three day attendance. These Practical Sessions will be held at Cerebral Palsy Cymru, Cardiff, Wales.
Who is this course for?
This course provides essential training for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists working with high-risk infants in the NICU and in the community during the first year of life.
