Early Intervention and Assessment Course - Spring/Summer 2022

Part 1 will be delivered remotely starting in February 2022 and will be the equivalent of 3 days of education time.

Part 2 will consist of 3 days in June 2022 at Cerebral Palsy Cymru, Cardiff, Wales and will focus on translating acquired knowledge into practical skills working with babies/infants and their families with guidance and support from the course tutors.

The course is led by the highly experienced early intervention course tutors, Christine Barber and Betty Hutchon.

Early Intervention and Assessment for Infants and young children at high risk of neurodevelopmental problems – a practical and evidence-based approach.

Monday 14 February 2022Full day online – work will be given that will need to be completed prior to the Live Tutorials.

Tuesday 15 February 6.30pm – 7.30pm - a Tutorial to discuss topics and ask questions arising from the course on 14 February 2022

Tuesday 8 March, Tuesday 5 April, Tuesday 3 May & Tuesday 24 May – a Live 1hr Tutorial (not recorded) – compulsory attendance required - 6.30pm to 7.30pm

Monday 20 June to Saturday 25 June – Three day attendance either Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Unfortunately, there will not be any flexibility on the dates provided by the Tutors.  These Practical Sessions will be held at Cerebral Palsy Cymru, Cardiff, Wales.

This course provides essential training for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists working with high-risk infants in the NICU and in the community during the first year of life.

Cost: £1,055 per person (this includes tea/coffee at the practical sessions but not lunches)
