Early Intervention and Assessment Course - Autumn/Winter 2022

Part 1 will be delivered remotely starting in October 2022 and will be the equivalent of 3 days of education time.
Part 2 will consist of 3 days in February 2023 at Cerebral Palsy Cymru, Cardiff, Wales and will focus on translating acquired knowledge into practical skills working with babies/infants and their families with guidance and support from the course tutors.
The course is led by the highly experienced early intervention course tutors, Christine Barber and Betty Hutchon.
About this course
Early Intervention and Assessment for Infants and young children at high risk of neurodevelopmental problems – a practical and evidence-based approach.

Dates and times for this course
Monday 3 October 2022 – Full day online – work will be given that will need to be completed prior to the Live Tutorials
Tuesday 4 October – 6.30pm – 7.30pm - a Tutorial to discuss topics and ask questions arising from the course on 3 October 2022
Tuesday 1 November 2022, Tuesday 22 November, Tuesday 13 December & Tuesday 10 January 2023 – a Live 1hr Tutorial (not recorded) – compulsory attendance required - 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Monday 6 February to Saturday 11 February 2023 – Three day attendance either Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, there will not be any flexibility on the dates provided by the Tutors. These Practical Sessions will be held at Cerebral Palsy Cymru, Cardiff, Wales.
Who is this course for?
This course provides essential training for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists working with high-risk infants in the NICU and in the community during the first year of life.

Cost: £1,055 per person (this includes tea/coffee at the practical sessions but not lunches)
