Trusts and foundations

Trusts and foundations enable us to have a significant impact on the lives of children and families living with cerebral palsy

We are extremely grateful to the many trusts and foundations in Wales and all over the UK which enable Cerebral Palsy Cymru to have a significant impact in the lives of children and families living with cerebral palsy.

How trusts and foundations can help

Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in the world. We at Cerebral Palsy Cymru are passionate about reaching as many of the estimated 1800 children in Wales who have cerebral palsy. We are ambitious as a charity and need your help to increase our investment into the following objectives:

  • Maintain and eventually increase our capacity to treat more children from our waiting list
  • Develop a new cerebral palsy centre for Wales that reflects us as a centre of excellence
  • Contribute to the evidence base for interventions for people who have cerebral palsy
  • Develop a sustainable future: around 80% of our funding comes from charitable donations

We have a range of capital and revenue projects that will provide an opportunity for your trust or foundation to invest in something with tangible and measurable outcomes.

If you are the trustee of a trust or foundation and you would like to explore how to be part of a future where all children living with cerebral palsy in Wales have the quality of life they deserve, please email Emma Brooks, Trusts & Legacies Fundraising Manager at or call 02920 522600.

Sienna’s story

The early intervention programme, has been such a comfort to us as we were doing something positive from pretty much day one for Sienna. The support and comfort that Cerebral Palsy Cymru provides means that the therapy doesn’t just stop with the child who receives it, the whole family benefits.
