Donate in memory

Making a donation in someone’s memory is a meaningful and lasting way to remember that person

Donate in lieu of flowers

If you have lost a loved one, you might find it helpful to ask people to make a donation in their memory at the funeral, rather than buy flowers. This can be a meaningful and lasting way to remember that person in knowing that others, like our children and families, have benefitted.

Many funeral directors will be able to arrange a collection for you and forward the donations directly to Cerebral Palsy Cymru. When all of your gifts have been received we will let you know who has donated and the total amount raised in memory of your loved one.

Make a regular donation to remember someone special

You can mark a special date or a special person with a regular donation to Cerebral Palsy Cymru. If you choose to you can receive our newsletter and updates to let you know how your donation is helping.

Set up a tribute page

An online tribute page can be a place to remember someone special, share thoughts and stories with friends and family and also fundraise in their memory. There are several ways to set up a page in aid of Cerebral Palsy Cymru, on www.virginmoneygiving.com or www.justgiving.com or there is the memorial website charity, www.muchloved.com.

If you would like to talk about donating in memory of someone please contact Emma Brooks, Trusts & Legacies Fundraising Manager on 02920 522600 or email emmab@cerebralpalsycymru.org

Sienna’s story

The early intervention programme, has been such a comfort to us as we were doing something positive from pretty much day one for Sienna. The support and comfort that Cerebral Palsy Cymru provides means that the therapy doesn’t just stop with the child who receives it, the whole family benefits.

Bobath to me means I can give something back to my community. I was a customer at Crwys road and liked the atmosphere that the manager created. The volunteers are happy and the manager is kind-hearted and good with everyone so when I got the opportunity to volunteer my first choice was Bobath.

Ffion’s story

Each visit to Cerebral Palsy Cymru’s therapy centre in Cardiff meant a 130-mile round trip to get to the centre but it was well worth it. The sessions were a great tool and taught us how to help Ffion and how to continue with her physiotherapy at home.
