Make a gift this October

We need your support now more than ever. Find out how you can make a gift for CPAM2020.

As the impact of Covid-19 hit the UK in March, and we entered lockdown, the charity immediately entered the most fragile financial period it has known to date. During lockdown, a loss of £47,000 a month due to the closure of our five shops, and a halt to many our fundraising activities, meant that our reserves would only last another few months. We furloughed around 70% of our staff and predicted a devastating 44% drop in predicted income for the year.

At the same time, we knew that we needed to keep going. Over 600 children and families living with cerebral palsy depended on us.

We know we can make a significant difference to each one of those lives, and to those children yet to be born, if we have the funding to do so. You can help us build a better future for children in Wales who have cerebral palsy this October by making a gift during CPAM2020.

7 ways to make a gift

  • Set up a regular gift of £7 a month. That’s as little as £1.75 a week/25p a day and by choosing to give a regular monthly donation, you will be providing us with the stability to plan ahead for the future.
  • Take on The 7 Challenge and fundraise for us.
  • Text CPAM to 70085 to make an instant donation of £7.
  • Make a one-off donation in aid of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month.
  • Consider leaving a gift in your Will. Did you know that you can leave as little as 1% (so that those closest to you inherit 99%) to a charity in your will? Contact Emma Brooks for a confidential chat regarding gifts in Wills.
  • Set up a Facebook fundraiser. This is a great way to share your support for CPAM2020 with your friends on social media and allow them to make a donation to us as a charity without even leaving their app! To set up your Facebook fundraiser, visit
  • Get your workplace to take us on as their chosen charity of the year. We will work to ensure you have a unique and fulfilling experience! For more information regarding corporate partnerships please contact Claire Walker

If you would like to speak to someone about your donation please contact our fundraising team on 02920 522600 or email and we would be happy to help.

Volunteer with home made cake sale

Pam Perry

I started to Bake for Bobath in 2014 as a fun way of saying thank you to Bobath for the amazing therapy they have given my granddaughter.

Held at home, a small gathering of friends with plenty of cake and coffee plus donations, £97.00, not bad I thought. Still held at home it is an annual event on m…

Sienna’s story

The early intervention programme, has been such a comfort to us as we were doing something positive from pretty much day one for Sienna. The support and comfort that Cerebral Palsy Cymru provides means that the therapy doesn’t just stop with the child who receives it, the whole family benefits.

Volunteer head shot

Fred Soper

Bobath to me means I can give something back to my community. I was a customer at Crwys road and liked the atmosphere that the manager created. The volunteers are happy and the manager is kind-hearted and good with everyone so when I got the opportunity to volunteer my first choice was Bobath.

Ffion’s story

Each visit to Cerebral Palsy Cymru’s therapy centre in Cardiff meant a 130-mile round trip to get to the centre but it was well worth it. The sessions were a great tool and taught us how to help Ffion and how to continue with her physiotherapy at home.
